Broad Research Interests: Heliophysics
Current Research Focus: For my thesis work I am investigating the mechanisms responsible for the energization, injection, and
trapping of outflowing ionospheric ions in the inner magnetosphere during geomagnetic storms and
substorms. In order to do this, I use single particle tracking in combination with a global multi-fluid model.
Previous Research Projects: Detecting auroral emissions from extrasolar planets, comet spectroscopy, observing campaigns, building
rockets, astrobiology, and some seismology and geochemistry.
